Join Andrew and George as the stage rises from its slumber deep in the woods. We'll be hauling it out and setting it up with all the tools ready to go — but we need your muscle, your brain, or both. Whether you're handy or just handy-adjacent, it's a good time and a great way to kick off the weekend.
We'll be setting up the big screen and projector for a classic under-the-stars movie night. Grab a blanket, bring a snack, and settle in for at least one (maybe two!) iconic films on the lawn. Got a favorite flick you think we should show? Send in your suggestions — we're all ears.
Kick things off with a morning round at the local 9-hole course — Shawangunk — just a short drive from the property. It's relaxed, scenic, and a great way to ease into the weekend.

Strawberry Wine is Chelsea Needham, David
Chernack, and Tyler Dezago. The Hudson Valley based trio is a power-combo of triple
fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo and voice. Assigning the band to a genre would be
limiting, in fact they prefer to go genre-less. Instead, they draw on traditional music
from around the world, charging it with their own electrifying touch. From Bluegrass to
Old-time to Scandinavian to Celtic – they play it all! And Of course, you can expect to
hear hard driving acoustic covers of your Dad’s favorite classic rock numbers laced with
tight three part harmony and string-breaking solos (it’s true, in just a two month case
study, David has broken seven strings… sponsor us d’addario!)
Eric Hollman brings an infectious spirit of joy and connection to every event he
leads. Specializing in lively square, contra, and circle dances, Eric creates an easy
and welcoming atmosphere where guests of all ages can celebrate together — no dance
experience needed. His calling style, often set to toe-tapping fiddle tunes and classic
favorites, focuses on community, fun, and simple movements that get everyone smiling and
moving.
Eric has called at iconic venues like Mohonk Mountain House, The Ashokan Center,
and festivals throughout the Northeast, making unforgettable memories for weddings,
parties, and gatherings of all kinds.
If you're around early, lend a hand cutting down trees and prepping for what might just be the biggest bonfire of your life. We've got two bonfire pits ready to roar — and if Dean gets his hands on the gasoline from the garage, well... god help us all. Either way, it's going to be epic.
Led by Mary, this peaceful start to the day is open to anyone looking to slow down, breathe deep, and reset. We'll gather in a quiet spot — maybe by the pond, maybe atop the hill with mountain views — and let the calm settle in. A perfect way to begin your day at Sullstice.
Led by Anna, we will fuse soulful movement with breath, music, and intention all while remaining curious and nonjudgmental of our own physical existence. No experience necessary, opportunities for advanced practitioners will be given. You don’t want to miss this savasana.
A high-energy morning event for the littlest Sullsticers — toddlers to kindergarteners and their grownups. Tess and Neil will lead the fun with live music, movement, and entertainment to get the day started right. It'll run 30 minutes to an hour, and if you're bringing kids, this is absolutely not to be missed.
Cornhole. Ladderball. Kubb. Polish Horseshoes. The classics (and a few oddballs) will be out in full force. We'll be running tournaments — bring your A-game, because champions will be crowned and bragging rights will be earned.
New Breaks is a band comprised of some of the Hudson Valley's most experienced acoustic
musicians. They perform a varied mix of classic and contemporary bluegrass with the
emphasis on tight vocal harmonies. All are veterans of many local bands and have been
honing their skills for many years.
David Chernack (Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar and Vocals) Is from Hyde Park. Although
he started his musical career as a classical violinist, Bluegrass music is now his home
turf. When he's not picking and singing. David is an avid birder and car enthusiast.
David is featured on Scott Slay and The Rail's self-producedCD.
Frank Kara (Mandolin, Guitar and Vocals) grew up playing electric guitar and got
bitten by the bluegrass bug after attending his first Winterhawk Bluegrass Festival in
1989. From 2003 to 2005 he was a member of Barebones and Wildflowers and is featured on
their self produced CD "Days Will Go By".
Gary DiGiovanni (Banjo and Vocals) is originally from New Jersey and after
moving to the area was lucky enough to study the banjo with Bill Keith. He is also a
fine guitar player.
Jim Sullivan (bass) grew up just down the road from Bill Keith in Woodstock and
now lives in Rosendale, NY. His musical journey includes Classical, Choral,
Medieval/Renaissance, Folk, Old Time and most recently Bluegrass. He also plays guitar
and claw hammer banjo.
Allie Chip and Tyler Dezago are a captivating folk duo based in the Hudson Valley. They play a mix of popular, original, and traditional songs. Audiences relish their intoxicating harmonies, rhythmic guitar playing, lush fiddle lines, and bouncing clarinet. Accomplished solo artists themselves, Allie and Tyler have impressive career accomplishments, including appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, performances on the TEDx stage, and accolades in national songwriting competitions. Allie and Tyler will make you laugh, feel, and want to sing along.
Scorching country rock with a splash of reggae — Molly and the Mayhem bring the heat and the heart. This power trio is made up of Sullstice regulars and musical glue that holds the weekend together.
John Hone has been instrumental in building the Sullstice sound — literally. A driving force behind the festival's music scene, John plays, shares gear, backs up other acts, and helps bring everyone together. You'll also catch him in the band Aloft, and probably half a dozen other sets.
Dave Gerard is a shredding guitarist and longtime Sullstice presence, known for his stage-stealing solos and tight rhythm work. When he's not lighting up our mountain stage, he's jamming with Grayhunter and countless other projects.
Molly rounds out the Mayhem with incredible vocals that soar. This is her second year performing at Sullstice — and she's already a highlight.
Hailing from Brooklyn, Habbina Habbina delivers a high-energy fusion of Mediterranean surf and Middle Eastern psychedelia. Led by guitarist Amit Peled (A-WA, Yallah Yallah, Les rhinoceros, Ramzailech), bassist Ran Livneh, and drummer Dani Danor, the trio resurrects retro-Mediterranean favorites—covering icons like Umm Kulthum, Farid Al-Atrache, Ahuva Ozeri, Tzlilay Ha'Oud, Daklon, Blondie, and even Britney Spears—with blazing instrumentals and irresistible surf-rock swagger.
Their name comes from a classic Farid El-Atrache song, paying homage while channeling waves of Egyptian pop, Greek and Syrian melodies, James Bond soundtracks, and more, all reimagined with cinematic guitar tones and propulsive rhythms. Live, they transform venues from Brooklyn to upstate stages into vibrant celebrations of culture and sound—with guitar solos that bridge East and West and grooves that get the crowd moving.
Off-stage accolades:
Expect: middle eastern twang and rare melodies, hypnotic guitar riffs that recall Dick Dale and Omar Khorshid, and a joyous, dance-ready sonic journey — a refreshing, genre-blurring experience that's uniquely their own.
Catch them live at Sullstice 2025 for an epic finale that merges surf energy with Mediterranean flair.
Andrew's making a run to Phantom Fireworks in Pennsylvania and buying enough to qualify for the bulk discount — because subtlety isn't really our thing. We'll do our best not to set the forest on fire, and if we're lucky, Dean might even read the instructions on the boxes. It's going to be a show.
